Prerequisites:
This training is focused on the context of working in Myanmar. Priority will be given to those living or working in Myanmar or for those from Myanmar. Participants must be able to provide their own transport and lodging during the training. Otherwise, there are no prerequisites for this course. Applicants working for organizations directly implementing WASH projects will be prioritized. Space is limited--register as soon as possible!

This workshop introduces the fundamental concepts of Household Water Treatment and Safe Storage (HWTS) through engagement with interactive, participatory learning methods. Throughout the course, the importance of capacity building and context analysis in ensuring successful HWTS implementation is highlighted. This course provides an introduction to drinking water quality, the Multi-Barrier Approach to safe drinking water, household water treatment and safe storage (HWTS) options, behavior change, and implementation best practices. It is intended for people responsible for making decisions about HWTS.

 

The course will provide an opportunity to network with other NGOs and/or individuals working in Myanmar.
