Birger “Burger” Lundgren is a Swedish software entrepreneur based in South Africa and the founder of Scandinavian Water & Sanitation Products and Sanitation Ambassadors NPC. He will explain how the model Sanitation Ambassadors uses combines good toilets, container-based servicing, and safe treatment using urea-based ammonia sanitation, turning what is normally seen as a dirty problem into something that can support health, dignity, jobs, nutrient recovery, and local resilience. Birger is enthusiastic about trying to move sanitation from “oh no” to “actually, this makes sense.”
